The inspiration for AT Hemp was sparked by our late father. After a hip replacement, our father had a slow recovery. He was in excruciating pain and nothing he tried seemed to help the healing. We had tried several recommended ointments and treatments, but the healing resisted and continued to drag on to no avail.
Taking matters into our own hands, we decided to deep-dive into alternative solutions. After much research, we discovered the power of hemp-based products and the healing properties they contained. Learning hemp had proven to be an effective source of healing, soothing muscle tension and restoring sensitive skin, we decided to try it.
Due to the limited hemp products and options available to the Australian market, we were forced to experiment, creating our very own hemp ointment and applying it to the wounds in the hope of healing what the other attempts failed to do. Finally, our discovery was a success.
Most impressed was our father, who was blown away by his progress since using our bespoke solution. This led to him advocating our creation, insisting we start a business to share our newfound discovery with others so they, too, could have access to our healing ointment.
While we played with the idea for years, it wasn't until our father sadly passed away that we decided to pursue it as a business venture. We wanted to honour him. Realising life is too short, we decided to make his wish for us a reality and agreed to make the jump into the hemp industry, bringing AT Hemp to life.
Together, we set off on a mission to establish a business that provided all-natural and organic products, using hemp as our main ingredient. We wanted to spread the hemp magic to those who found themselves in the same situation as our father, looking for a local preservative-free solution that worked.
We recreated our initial ointment through lengthy research and extended our catalogue of products using organic, locally sourced products. Tina became 'the cook', experimenting and creating our products, while Angie took on the role as the operations officer, focusing on the admin and marketing side of the business.
After doing the groundwork needed to develop our product line, the next step was ensuring our creations were effective. Strictly committed to cruelty-free testing, we distributed samples to friends and family who suffered from various issues to confirm the effectiveness. Experiencing outstanding results, we received amazing feedback from our testers.
From there, we went live, bringing you the business you see today. What started as an experiment is now our passion as we continue to introduce the magic that is hemp to our customers. Made in our father's honour, our products are genuinely made with love, right here in Australia. We know he would've been so proud!
