Hemp Uses
Hemp (sometimes called Industrial Hemp) is a plant of the Cannabaceae family. Strict regulation ensures that hemp has no psychoactive effect.
Hemp is a superfood, it contains all 20 essential fatty acids, GLA, Omegas 3,6 and 9 in the perfect ratio for the human body, and in seed form is also 30% protein!
Proven to be an effective source of nutrition, both topically and internally, our organic hemp products offer a powerful plant-based alternative to soothe muscle tension and restore sensitive skin, while building a sustainable future.
Hemp uses a quarter of the water needed for other crops, thrives in any climate and doesn’t need harsh chemicals like pesticides to grow, so it’s way more sustainable for our planet and ideal for sensitive skin.
Hemp fabric does not require bleaching, and is mold resistant, fade resistant, and will never stretch or change shape. It is the strongest plant fibre known to man.
Hemp seed oil is the oil obtained by cold pressing the ripened fruits (seeds) of a plant in the genus Cannabis.
Hemp seed oil does not contain cannabinoids, such as CBD, apart from trace levels that may be present from inadequate cleaning of the seeds.
AT Hemp is Australian made, owned and operated, with our hemp grown and harvested in Tasmania.
No, hemp seed oil is not the same as CBD oil. Our hemp seed oil is found through the process of cold pressing hemp seeds. CBD oil is sourced differently and is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant, delivering a different oil with separate properties.
Hemp seed has many benefits. Not only is good to consume, boosting omegas and essential fatty acids in your daily diet but is a great product to use topically. Our assortment of balms is used for a variety of issues, including relieving muscle tension, resorting sensitive skin, relieving the severity of headaches and migraines and encouraging peaceful sleep. Our hemp seed oil itself helps reduce the appearance of lines, age spots and uneven skin tone. Explore our products to see what each product is recommended for!

Hemp and cannabis are both terms used to describe a plant in the genus Cannabis.
Colloquially, hemp is a term used to describe any cannabis plant that is cultivated for fibre and seed. It will generally contain very low levels of THC, but potentially high CBD.
Despite both being cannabis plants and strains from the same plant family, hemp and marijuana differ in many aspects. Consider them as distant cousins. They have separate chemical properties and are used for different purposes completely. Hemp contains extremely little THC, whereas marijuana has high amounts of THC.
